 ASSOCIATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS

APA - American Psychological Association

     Has links to free searching of its databases and its journals for members only.
     Also, instructions for searching with various interfaces. Also a link to a site where
     non-members can search the APA database (PsycINFO) for a reasonable fee,
    payable by international credit card. (Links to all these are listed below.)
American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
    Includes a comprehensive list of links to related organizations. It also has a
    "Facts for Families and Other Resources" section.
American Psychological Society
     Includes an extensive list of related links -- organizations, university psychology
     departments, U.S. government agencies, and others.
APSA - American Psychoanalytic Association
     Enables literature searching of psychoanalytic journals and books; but the database
     is not up-to-date. Also gives the tables of contents and the abstracts of articles in
     issues of the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association from 1995 onwards.
NIMH  (National Institute of Mental Health --  U.S.)
    Includes news and information on government-funded research projects and clinical
    trials (in the United States).
Israel Psychological Association  - הסתדרות הפסיכולוגים בישראל

Freud Net
Site of the New York Psychoanalytic Institute's Brill Library, includes links to archives, biographical materials, letters, access to the Brill's collection of first editions of Freud's writings and journals.

Social Phobia/Social Anxiety Association
Homepage of the Social Phobia/Social Anxiety Association includes good information on social anxiety symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment.

    Explanation of the scope of personality theory and research, abstracts of recent 
    articles, and very many links to both academic and nonacademic Web pages. 
School Psychology
"School psychology resources for psychologists, parents, and educators."
    This site has links to a great many sites dealing with specific  disorders and 
    disabilities. Also includes links to sites giving much useful information on 
    various other topics, including graduate studies in school psychology.

The Quantitative Study of Dreams
The website offers scholarly guidance and research on quantifying dreams. Explanation of content analysis, coding, statistical analysis, and much more.

Intelligence Theory & Testing
Has easy-to-read map of who influenced whom in the field of intelligence. Includes information on many great names in psychology over the ages, with summaries of their research and theories.

     Many of the links here are  to English-language sites, but the descriptions are all in
     Hebrew, and some of the sites are unusual.

     One of the earliest psychology megasites, and still one of the best.
Britannica Internet Guide -- Psychology
    Includes access to the full text of the Encycloped Britannica, and to all other areas
    of the Britannica Internet Guide.
Encyclopedia of Psychology -- Psychology Websites
     Interestingly organized site with very many links.
Psyc Site: Science of Psychology Resources
     Well-organized site with links to other megasites.
PsychologyWWW Virtual Library
    Very wide-ranging and well-manged site with multiple links in many areas.
    Part of the "World Wide Web Virtual Library".
SOSIG (Social Science Information Gateway) -- Psychology
     Particularly useful site with very many links for many different branches of 
    psychology.

World Lecture Hall
World Lecture Hall publishes links to pages created by faculty worldwide who are using the Web to deliver course materials in any language. There are links to 99 psychology courses (in August 2001).
