Members of the University's academic and administrative staffs and graduate students are allowed to check out newspapers and periodicals for a period of seven days without renewal. Circulation services for periodicals are provided at the circulation department. An authorized individual may borrow newspapers and periodicals upon presentation of suitable identification. The loan date is stamped on the slip attached to the binding and signed by the person doing the loan.Upon leaving the library, borrowed newspapers and journals must be presented to the guard for inspection. Photocopying for teaching or research purposes must adhere to the "fair use" rule, which generally speaking states that:
- No more than a quarter of a journal issue will be copied.
- No more than a quarter of a book can be copied.
- Government documents may be copied in their entirety.
- Photocopying is allowed for personal use only.
