Instant Text Tool Look-Up

The Instant Details can display the first relevant article of a tool normally opened in a separate tab with a triple-click. This feature is available only for text tabs; it is not activeThe application, window, tab, or other screen element which is currently being used; sometimes called the "front" or "frontmost" screen element for other tools, maps, or windows.

The relevant article depends on the kind of word over which the cursor rests.

Type of Word Display in Instant Details
Greek, Hebrew, or plain English word The first dictionary for that language
Word in a Key number text Related Key dictionary
Verse reference The first reference toolAny non-Biblical text that provides supplemental information about the text, for example, a lexicon, dictionary, or commentary

If several articles are found for the word, only the first article is displayed. Reference tools display the last article (specific to the verse). Only the first few paragraphs of long articles are displayed, since scrolling is not available in the Instant Details.

For Greek and Hebrew lexicons, Accordance attempts to find the correct entry if more than one exists for the selected word.

Note

The various triple-click modifiers do not affect the instant text tool look-up.
