The goal of this example is to study the Hebrew word translated "beginning" in Gen 1:1.
Click the View History button () and verify that the search is set to an Exact search via the pop-up menu that appears.
Choose Exact if it is not selected.

Studying the English Word "beginning"
The Hebrew word and transliteration are shown in the Instant Details. The Analysis tab shows all instances of the word "beginning" in the KJVS text.
So far, nothing has been learned about the Hebrew word "beginning" since it is not translated by a specific word in English.
These next steps walk you through an example of studying the Hebrew word.
Click in the word "beginning", right-click and choose Search For>Key Number in the shortcut menu that appears.
A new Search tab opens which has automatically found the same Hebrew word throughout the same text.
In the initial study of the word "beginning" in Hebrew, you found that it could be translated as "beginning" or as "first." Let's limit your search to "reshit" when it is translated "beginning."
