Print the Map

The Map tab can be printed just as it appears in the display (File>Print). Rotated labels should print cleanly on a PostScript printer, but may appear ragged on other printers.

Hint If rotated names do no print correctly, try removing the Geographic names layer, copy the map to a drawing program such as AppleWorks, and add the names you need in that application.

A Map tab often prints over more than one page. To print on one page you can:

• Resize the tab to a smaller size.
• In the Page Setup dialog box (File>Page Setup) choose "landscape" rather than "portrait" orientation.
• In the Print Settings dialog box (File>Print Settings), reduce the page margins.
• In the Print Settings dialog box (File>Print Settings), select Scale graphics to page.
• If you have a high resolution screen display (large number of pixels), the map looks smaller on screen than it does when printed.
