Public computers upgrade
Public computers upgrade

During the summer, all the public computers in the Library were upgraded. Some ten computers were replaced, and in all the others the memory and disk were upgraded In addition, the Chrome browser was installed on all the computers. We hope you enjoy using the improved computers!

Early modern shipwrecks
Early modern shipwrecks

The library has recently received an interesting new digital repository which includes information about the remains of medieval Middle Eastern shipwrecks and their current location on current maps - all accessible and simple, even on the Google Maps platform . The repository was built and is maintained by Dr. Renard Gluzman, of the Institute for the Study of Mediterranean History at the University of Haifa's Faculty of Humanities.

As of July, the library circulation desks have been combined to one. All loans are now processed at the circulation desk near the library entrance: books from the reserved collection (with a loan period of one night, three days, and one week), CDs, questionnaires, maps and scores.

A new portal for locating databases has been launched. It enables one to connect directly to the chosen database.
The search – by database name or by faculty and department - is friendly and easy to use. We would be happy to hear your opinions.

ILL free of charge for another year

We are pleased to announce that Interlibrary Loan services from all Israeli universities will be free of charge for another year. Students and staff will be able to order scans and loans from Israel and abroad for free. For research, teaching and study purposes only.
