Dialogue on Fate and Soul – Stanisław Vincenz (1888 - 1971)

The exhibition, Dialogue on Fate and Soul, is dedicated to the life and work of Stanisław Vincenz (1888–1971).

Stanisław Vincenz was a Polish writer, philosopher, and man of letters who, in his monumental literary cycle On the High Uplands (Na wysokiej połoninie), preserved the world of the Eastern Carpathians—a region where Hutsuls, Poles, and Jews lived side by side for generations. Regarded by his Jewish friends as a person of profound understanding of their culture, Vincenz is remembered as a rare literary voice who championed dialogue, mutual understanding, and a shared humanity.

We invite you to discover this remarkable Polish writer and intellectual, who regarded Jewish culture and the wisdom of Jewish thinkers as central to the very essence of European civilization.
