Ways to Give
Donate Materials
Our critical needs are for the following types of materials that will be considered for addition to our collection:
- Materials that support the teaching and research needs of our students and faculty
- Scholarly and academic works published within the last five years
- Literary fiction published within the last three years in Hebrew, Arabic and English
We recommend, if possible, that the donor prepare and send in advance a description of the materials offered, subjects, quantity, languages of the materials and their physical condition. We prefer to receive a list, including the following details: author, title, publisher, date of publication. If you wish to donate a large collection, a subject librarian or specialist may arrange to visit and review the collection before accepting it. See the Gifts and Donation Policy.
Transportation of a donation to the library is the responsibility of the donor. The library may assist in arranging for transportation, if needed.
If you plan to bring your gift to the library or to send it by mail, please be sure to enclose a note that includes the name and address of the donor, so we will know to whom to send the letter of acknowledgment. For other arrangements please contact the Gifts & Exchange Librarian.
We also encourage donors to consider a cash gift with their materials donation. Your monetary donations can help cover the costs associated with managing and processing gifts and help us to ensure high quality access to all of our materials.
Cash Gifts
The Library welcomes cash gifts for the purchase of items which will enhance existing collections and help enrich collections to support our University’s instructional and research programs. Make an online donation now. When donating online, please indicate that your gift is intended for the library.

Adopt-a-Book
Help the library's collection grow by contributing to the Adopt a Book Program. Contributors can select and sponsor a book from our list of suggested titles. The selection can be a favorite book, a book of personal significance that is important to a field of teaching or research, or any other book of your choice.
There are several "adoption" options:
- Silver adoption - $100 - $249 List of Titles
- Gold adoption - $250 - $499 List of Titles
- Diamond adoption - $500 and over List of Titels
- Rare book conservation – the donor underwrites the costs of digitizing a selected title for preservation – List of titles
A unique way to let a person know you are thinking of them is by honoring them with an Adopt a Book – for birthdays, anniversaries, Passover, graduations, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, Mother's and Father's Day, in memory of a loved one, or even a thank you for someone whose gone out of their way with a helping hand.
In exchange for your sponsorship, we will insert a bookplate in the book with your name (and photograph, if desired) and list you as a donor in the library's catalog. We will send you a thank you note for the book selection and, if appropriate, send a note to your gift recipient acknowledging your adoption. Each bookplate is personalized with a dedication and can include both your name and the name of the person being honored or remembered.
To Adopt a Book contact Greidinger Naomi, Library Director, tel. +972-4-8240289.
